Chris Slade left EMI Records in early 2007 to set up Alchemy Radio with Matt Learmouth from Alchemy PR. The aim of the company is simple – we take on music we believe in, and explore every avenue available to get that music considered at national radio. Penguin Prison
The latest hot export from NYC, Penguin Prison released their debut AA single Animal Animal/A Funny Thing on November 30th following impressive remixes for Golden Silver, Martina and The Diamonds and Erik Hassle. Next single to come in March 2010.
Jakwob
20 year old remix king who’s been awarded Zane’s Hottest Record award for his remix of Ellie Goulding’s Under The Sheets. Other clients include Empire of the Sun, Jamie T and Fabio Lendrum. His own material coming in early 2010.
Tom Hickox
Quite unlike anything we’ve heard before, Tom Hickox is a unique piano playing artist who captivates all who see him. He’s appeared on Radio 4’s Loose Ends already and had plays on Steve Lamacq’s 6 Music show and is set to make a real impression on 2010.
Fun Lovin’ Criminals
The multi platinum selling artists, with 4 Top 10 albums to their name, return for the first time in five years, with the album and lead single Classic Fantastic, featuring collaborations with Roots Manuva and Paul Kaye.

The long awaiting second album is here and sounding immense. Lead single Get Better is out on March 1st and has already been played by all specialists, including Zane’s Hottest Record and John Kennedy’s Big One.
Stornoway
Included on the BBC Sound of 2010 list and their recent appearance on Later topped off a fantastic year for this hotly tipped Oxford band. New single out March 2010.
Monarchy
This mysterious duo released their debut single Gold In The Fire / Black Is The Colour Of My Heart on Feb 1st on Neon Gold. Huge interest from various labels and blog action, including Hype Machine #1. Radio supporters include Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac.
Mr Fogg
Electronica king Mr Fogg releases his album Moving Parts in April, along with an eagerly awaited Tony Kaye video. Sessions confirmed with John Kennedy and Janice Long.
Wave Machines
Following the radio success of “I Go I Go I Go”, second single “Punk Spirit” was playlisted at 6 Music and Xfm, as well as regular Zane Lowe spins at Radio 1. Festival appearances last summer at every major event concluded with Bestival then the band spend the rest of the year in France where their album reached the French iTunes Top 10. More to come in 2010.
Peggy Sue
This Brighton based band spent two years building up a fantastic head of steam and a pile of admirers, and are newly signed to Wichita Records. Their debut album is out for Spring 2010.
Them:Youth
These Ealing lads, including 2 brothers, had a great 2009 culminating in a fantastic Club NME show at KOKO. Already winners of Zane Lowe’s Fresh Meat and John Kennedy’s Xposure Big One, they return with new music in Spring 2010.
